Fairford Waterski Club is situated on the A417 between Fairford and Lechlade.
The area's subtropical climate and long hours of sunshine make it the venue of choice for watersports enthusiasts wishing to practice their sport all year round, whatever the season..... well for those with a good imagination anyway! For the rest of us we have to enjoy the thrills, spills and excitement of watersports in our infamous British climate, but hey ho, who was it that said there is no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing? Never a truer word spoken. Who needs Florida when you can just don a dry suit and save ££££££ on air fares. I bet we have just as much fun!
Fairford Waterski Club has a dedicated slalom course for those that feel the need... the need for speed. It also has a large lake for the less demanding activities such as wakeboarding, ringo riding, knee boarding and general fun and frolics. Yeah yeah we know wakeboarding IS demanding, well it is... sort of... it's like slalom skiing but a lot easier!
The club itself is situated in the heart of the Cotswolds just down the road from The Lakes by Yoo where all the affluent people hang out. That’s all very nice if you like looking at ducks and swans etc. but they’re not allowed to waterski, wakeboard or any of the fun things we do ... shame, how the other half live.
Also down the road you will find places like Bibury, Stow on the Wold and Broadway . Stunning villages waiting for you to explore.
Our club is right next door to THE WORLD'S GREATEST AIRSHOW at RAF Fairford - the Royal International Air Tattoo.
Few events can rival the intensity, drama and spectacle on offer at the world's greatest airshow. The Air Tattoo, one of the UK's premier outdoor events, returns this summer with an extravaganza of entertainment for all the family. Alongside the thrilling flying action, visitors will be treated to non-stop entertainment on the ground - so whether a wide-eyed first timer or a seasoned airshow veteran, the experience is breathtaking. You can see all of this and a whole lot more from the comfort of our club as it is situated less than a mile away as the crow flies.
Other nearby attractions are Fairford and Lechlade which are within easy walking distance and have numerous pubs and eating places.
Go a bit further and you have miles and miles of countryside to explore either by bike or on foot. The club really is in the heart of the Cotswolds.
